Why GPBS?

GPBS is more than a website or media hub. GPBS is your go-to space for connecting students and staff in Catholic schools through relevant faith experiences and engaging liturgy that intersects with our day-to-day human encounters.

At its core, GPBS is all about accompanying Catholic schools as they cultivate rich experiences of faith that speak to the contemporary world. With an annual online subscription package, you can access daily, weekly, seasonal and annual prayer and liturgical resources and multimedia.

Additionally, the GPBS Mission & Ministry Team can work directly with your school community to facilitate student and staff retreats, workshops, leadership formation and professional learning opportunities that foster the ability in your team to do the same.

Scripture of the Week

Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." After he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As I have been sent, even so I send you." And when he said this, he breathed on them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."

Prayer of the Week

Lord, open our hearts, that we may be truly alive to all the sounds and colours of your Spirit among us: the trickles and the waterfalls, the flickers and the fireworks, in the ordinary, in the mundane, in the unknown; in stirrings that echo in our hearts and excite us, dare us, free us. Overturn our expectations, and explode our complacency, that this Pentecost will be as the first – a new beginning, overflowing with possibility and passion and all that brings life and healing and you, afresh in our midst. Amen.

Frankly Speaking

The Holy Spirit does this: the Spirit opens our heart that we may know Jesus. The Spirit works in us, throughout the day, during our whole life, as a witness who tells us where Jesus is. The best moment to find the Spirit is at the end of the day, when following a good Chrstian habit, as one examines one's conscience.
